New World Champion for K-Star Legacy

26th February saw K-Star Legacy’s Dan Edwards finally get his just dues by claiming the S3 Fight League’s world championship belt.

Dan has had an unbeaten record in Thailand for the last two years so the next logical step was to challenge for the World title.

Dan took on the very experienced Strahinja Ivanovic of Serbia at the Rialto Reborn banqueting suite in Coventry.

Dan put on a clinical performance with Ivanovic barely landing a shot. After four 8 counts via body punches the contest was finally stopped in the 4th round when Dan landed with a huge left knee to put Strahinja to the canvas.

All the years and hours of training had finally paid off for the newly crowned S3 World champion.

Also on the bill we had three other fighters compete with Jordan Matthews, Sharn Shelly and Luke Davis.

Jordan and Shard were both having their first fights with Jordan winning on points and Sharn narrowly losing. Sharn’s opponent had changed just a couple of days before the event, as his original opponent had to with withdraw due to injury. His replacement had some prior experience going in to this contest but none the less Sharn fought his heart out making it a very close points loss.

Luke Davis is slowly working his way through the ranks as he stopped his opponent with low kicks in the fourth round. This was Luke’s best performance to date and we can only see him getting better.

All in all it was a great day for K-Star Legacy.
