K-Star Legacy fighters are set for their big bouts.

Posted by  | Categories: News

K-Star Legacy fighters Dan Edwards and Patryk Jelonkiewicz are all ready for their bouts this weekend at the Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston on Sunday 23rd November.

Young Patryk will be stepping up another level as he takes Nick Griffith from Warrington. Nick comes from the highly rated Warrington Kickboxing studio and has a little more experience than Patryk but I am more than confident that Patryk is up for the challenge.

The UK No1 Dan Edwards will be having his first back on home soil against Claudio Annichiarico from Italy for European title. Dan has fought exclusively in Thailand over the last 12 months and it will be a rare treat to see him fight in front of his home town.

There will also be fighters from the other K-Star branches representing their clubs and the K-Star name.

The doors will open at 3pm and the first fight will start at 4pm.

You can grab tickets from any of the K-Star gyms or any fighter on the bill.

Patryk Does it again.

16 year old Patryk Jelonkiewicz fought again over the weekend in Ashby De La Zouch against Norvin Chowdhry from Loughborough.

During the first round it looked like Patryk was going to put away his opponent early on but Chowdhry refused to go down.

Patryk put on a great performance as he was taken the distance for the first time. He really showed how he is maturing as a fighter and I believe can go along way if he keeps the same work ethic.

Patryk’s next fight will be on the 23rd November at the Tower Ballroom in Birmingham as he fights on the undercard of K-Star/K-Star Legacy fighter and UK No1 Danny Edwards who will be challenging for the European Title.

World Record Attempt

Long time K-Star/K-Star Legacy student Mubasher Manzoor is attempting to break the world record for the most amount of Muay Thai rounds sparred in one session.

Mubasher, better known as Mubz will attempt to do 200 rounds of sparring using all Muay Thai weapons. Each round will consist of three minutes with a minute break in between making it a total of 13 and a half hours to complete the task.

Mubz has already completed a 150 rounds of sparring for charity just a few months ago but being the guy he is he wanted to challenge himself again.

The record attempt will take place on the 13th December at K-Star Legacy Muay Thai Gym, 790 Hagley Road West, Oldbury, B68 0PJ.

While Mubz is attempting to break the Guinness World Record he will also be looking at raising more money for charity. There will be more details to follow about this.

Good Luck Mubz!

Patryk wins at Tear up at the Tower

16 year old k-Star Legacy fighter Patryk Jelonkeiwicz scored a sensational second round stoppage on the 27th September at the Tower ballroom in Edgbaston.

This was only Patryk’s second fight but you wouldn’t have been able to tell by how he moved. His relentless style proved too much for his welsh opponent Ashley Lynch-Wilson as he dropped Ashley twice with body punches causing his corner to throw the towel in.

Patryk will be back in the ring on the 25th October in Ashby against Novin Chowdhury from Loughborough Muay Thai. We will have tickets available in the gym for those who are interested in going to what i’m will be another fantastic performance.

Taking a Seminar at the UFC Gym in Chicago

Posted by  | Categories: News

I’m very honoured to announce that I will be taking a weekend of seminars in the windy city of Chicago on the 18th and 19th of October 2014 at both the UFC Gym and Pow MMA. It will have been exactly a year to the day when I was first taken to the States to host seminars in Philadelphia so i’m very pleases to be returning to the States again for the third time. I had some tremendous feedback from the gyms in Philadelphia so I’m really looking forward to sharing some of my tricks of the trade in another city in America. I will have some contact info shortly for anyone who is interested in attending the seminar.
