Damien Trainor started his training at the tender age of 14 years old at the famous K-Star Thai Boxing Academy in Birmingham. Under the watchful eye of instructor Steve Logan, he started competing in the junior ranks a year later and quickly became Midland Area, English and British school boy champion.

After moving into the adult division at 16 years old the success he had as school boy followed him through and he won his pro debut by stoppage in the second round. He became the English champion at 17 years old and then, after receiving his red arm band (equivalent to a black belt) in his final grading, he gained a British championship title at 18 years.

After winning three European titles by the time he was 21 Damien grew bored of the UK fight scene and went off to live in Thailand, the homeland of Muay Thai.

Damien Trainor Overseas

He spent long periods competing in Thailand and the rest of Asia for a living, winning the Hong Kong Champion title, honing his skills and learning how the game is played in the country it originated.

Since his return home his success has continued where he won a fourth European title followed by two World titles.

He still competes professionally when the offer interests him but for now he wants to concentrate on sharing the sport that has given him so much and with K-Star Legacy he plans to do this.
